DialogWorks was founded in 2000. Our principals have experience in
both internet and traditional marketing, as well as technology and
databases, and have worked on internet marketing programs for over 50
organizations, including Apple Computer, E*Trade, Palm Computing,
PG&E, and Victoria's Secret.
Jim Kelly - Founder, Principal Consultant
Jim Kelly leads the DialogWorks team.
Jim has created and managed marketing programs and
technology projects for companies ranging from start-ups to Fortune
500 companies.

Jim's experience includes marketing communications, website design and
development, database management, data mining, and knowledge-based
systems. He has worked at Post Communications (now YesMail),
HyperParallel (acquired by Yahoo), Silicon Graphics, and Bolt Beranek
& Newman.

In his career, Jim has worked with clients and partners including
Accenture, Bank of America, Cable & Wireless, CDNow, Dupont, E*Trade,
EDS, Incyte Pharmaceuticals, Kroger, Microstrategies, PG&E, and
Skymall.

Jim has spoken at international conferences and workshops and at
businesses and universities, on email marketing, e-metrics, data
mining, and data management.

MS degree in Computer Science from the University of
Illinois, where he studied artificial intelligence and behavioral
modeling, and BS degree from Tufts University.

Jim is also a trustee of the Natural World Museum.

Carolyn Brown - Nonprofit Marketing & Communications Strategist
Carolyn Brown develops strategic marketing and communications programs
for non-profit organizations, eco-friendly companies and media
channels.
Her approach draws on a broad range of experience including Fairmont
Hotels & Resorts, Sustainable Conservation, Flex Your Power,
41pounds.org, Metropolitan Transportation Commission, McDonalds,
HealthNet, University of California-Berkeley Water Center, EcoTalk and
numerous start-up companies. She served as Bank of America's Vice
President for Government Relations, where she co-authored the
company's Environmental Principles, and taught communications at the
Haas School of Business. She earned an A.B. from Princeton University,
and an M.A. in Creative Writing from San Francisco State University.
Byoung Choi - Software Development Engineer, Database Management
Byoung is a software development consultant whose experience includes
Java, .Net/Windows platforms, Oracle, and mySQL. He has worked at
Visa, Post Communications (now YesMail), and Redwood Trust, and
consulted on projects for clients that include the US Department of
Transportation, Internal Revenue Service, and Raytek Corporation.
Byoung holds a BS degree in electrical engineering from the University
of Pennsylvania, and a BS degree in economics/finance from the Wharton
School.
Mark DiMaio - Email Deliverability Consultant
Since 1999 Mark has specialized in the world of online email marketing
and communications, most notably in message deliverability. Mark has
held senior level positions with some of the largest Email Service
Providers in the country and sits on a number of advisory boards,
developing and providing expertise in order to help clients optimize
results in the continually evolving world of email deliverability.
He has worked on deliverability for a broad range of companies, Fortune 100 companies as well as small and mid-sized businesses.
Mark attended the State University of New York where he studied Liberal Arts and Business Administration.
Theresa Kobylinski - Online Marketing Consultant
Theresa Kobylinski has more than a decade of experience designing and
managing direct marketing programs, both online and offline.
While at Epsilon Data Management Theresa managed all aspects of the
Apple Computer account, both USA and Canada, developing Apple's
traditional and online direct marketing campaigns.
In her career she has developed and managed online marketing programs
for companies including Netcentives, Victoria's Secret, Illuminations
and Homestore.
Theresa holds a BA in business administration with a concentration in
Management Information Systems from St. Bonaventure University.
Cynthia Milionis - Graphic Design, Flash
Cynthia Milionis' work covers the spectrum of web-based media,
including websites, email messages, banners and advertising, and
internal and external company documentation and collateral.
In her career Cynthia has work for clients including UCSF School of
Medicine, UC Berkeley, Bravanta (now Workstream), HungryMinds, and
Landor Associates.
Cynthia's education includes an M.F.A. from San Francisco State
University and a B.F.A. from the University of Washington.
Sharon Schanzer - Print & Presentation Design
Sharon Schanzer has over 20 years of design and technology experience
and is currently the Principal and Creative Director of Red Letter
Day, a design studio whose services include design and production of
marketing communications collateral, catalogs, signage, trade show
graphics, corporate identity materials and both static and animated
PowerPoint presentations using Adobe Presenter (formerly Macromedia
Breeze).
In her career, Sharon has worked for clients that include Adobe,
Shaklee, Time Warner Cable, Mercury Interactive, and LifeMasters
Supported Selfcare.
Sharon attended Carnegie Mellon University.
Kirstin Williams - Branding & Marketing Consultant
Kirstin Williams is a marketing consultant with over 15 years of
experience in identity and brand development, marketing strategy &
positioning, marketing collateral - design and production management.
Kirstin's client experience spans biotech, high tech, healthcare,
financial services, food, fashion, travel, non-profit development and
the arts. She has worked with clients such as Charles Schwab,
Microsoft, Kaiser Permanente and General Motors.
Kirstin has an B.A. degree from the University of California at
Santa Barbara.
Gil Zeimer - Copywriting
Gil is a freelance copywriter with over 25 years of experience across all industries and all media. He specializes in direct marketing copywriting, including, email campaigns, enewsletters, banners, postcards, and traditional direct mail packages. He also has vast expertise in writing websites (about 100 to date), sales brochures, ads, radio and TV scripts, blogs, case studies, and whitepapers. He has worked at some of the world's largest ad agencies, including BBDO, Ketchum (now TBWA Chiat/Day), Grey, and Cohn & Wells in San Francisco, plus Timberlin-McClain and The Bloom Agency in Dallas. Clients have included Intuit, HP, Oracle, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Intel, Levi Strauss & Company, FedEx Freight, Wells Fargo and dozens more.
